This is simply amazing. I read in a few comments that this was in a book, what book was this? I'd love to give that book a read! The detail you've placed into the armour I personally love. It's a bit of old, a bit of new with a generous serving of awesome. Most inspirational.

Thanks. The book is titled 18 days ( based on the 18 day Mahabharat war ), illustrated by me and written by the most awesome Grant Morrison. It is available on Amazon.

Loving your line work on this, so detailed and well controlled, and the various influences you have used have blended together really well, excellent work.

I'm pretty sure this was said already, but the dude in the foreground looks ultimately bad ass. Love the design of everything on this painting, I'm not just saying that I actually looked for something I didn't like and couldn't find it it. The artwork is breathtaking, and the details int he design is wonderful and unique. Nicely done.

Thanks. I went for a retro sci-fi feel with a touch of Steam punk thrown in and replaced the victorian base with an Indian one.

The guy in foreground right has such an amazing design.Very ornate, with superb colors.A real treat seeing this here in all its glory. This printed slightly dark in the book.

Yeah, Printing can be a bit of a shot in the dark at times. I tend to over-saturate the colors a bit for print works. Some copies have printed alright, a few copies are too dark. I have read somewhere that the 2nd print run is on sturdier paper than the first one. Might order them just to check.

Have you found increasing saturation to help the print results?I've always been advised against using saturated colors for the fear they might print dark.

Saturated colors minus the blacks ( but that is a tough one for painted style ). In Photoshop painting with the soft proof setting on can help. Might have to to end up tweaking the files in the end.

It is always a bit of shot in the dark.

Right.I'm yet to see any of my work print well.Happened only once, and that's because they used great paper and tweaked the files themselves.

Thin paper lets the ink bleed through.

Try with the Soft proof setting on once. You might be put off at first, but our eyes get used to it in a while. At this point this is best setting I have tried that works to a point.

Getting decent prints , never mind great ones is a bit of a dark art
